Tim Davies

My artwork researches the themes of popular culture, propaganda, social justice and parody by subverting corporate imagery. I have created posters, canvases and art sculptures under the pseudonym of exhume.art

Skate boarding, punk music and street art graffiti have been consistent influences. My current MA studies have led me to research a series of moving artworks using augmented reality for display in an exhibition in January 2021 alongside my other works. I plan to make sculptures to project using mapping techniques. The resulting work will lie somewhere between animation, motion graphics and interactive art and will be a result of combining all areas of my practice.

Mae fy ngwaith celf yn ymchwilio i themâu diwylliant poblogaidd, propaganda, cyfiawnder cymdeithasol a pharodi trwy wyrdroi delweddaeth gorfforaethol. Rwyf wedi creu posteri, cynfasau a cherfluniau celf o dan y ffug-enw exhume.art.

Mae byrddau sglefrio, cerddoriaeth pync a graffiti celf stryd wedi bod yn ddylanwadau cyson. Mae fy astudiaethau MA cyfredol wedi fy arwain i ymchwilio i gyfres o weithiau celf symudol gan ddefnyddio realiti estynedig i'w harddangos mewn arddangosfa ym mis Ionawr 2021 ochr yn ochr â'm gweithiau eraill. Rwy'n bwriadu gwneud cerfluniau i'w taflunio gan ddefnyddio technegau mapio. Bydd y gwaith sy'n deillio o hyn yn gorwedd rhywle rhwng animeiddiad, graffeg symudol a chelf ryngweithiol a bydd yn ganlyniad o gyfuno pob maes o fy ymarfer.
